Ken Weizer ND is a Naturopathic physician with a background in movies. He was a film director and editor for 15 years, working in Hollywood (and around the world) on movies and children’s shows.
In 1989 his film career, and his life, were
challenged when he was diagnosed with cancer. Through the use
of conventional and complementary medicines, Dr. Weizer was able to
reclaim his health. The success of this approach led Dr. Weizer to
reconsider his career in the film industry, and focus on helping
others by studying naturopathic medicine.
He graduated from National College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1999.
Because of his personal history, Dr. Weizer has a strong dedication to serve people with serious and life-challenging illness. Dr. Weizer believes that knowledge and hope are fundamental to the recovery process. To educate his patients and the general community, Dr. Weizer conducts numerous workshops on Naturopathic medicine, and speaks at local cancer support groups.
In addition, Dr. Weizer is an
adjunct faculty member of National College of Naturopathic Medicine
and Marylhurst University, where he teaches classes on oncology,
healing, stress reduction, and communication.
